WILLIAM E. SHERIDAN JR.
Menands- William "Bill" E. Sheridan Jr., 60 of Menands, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Friday, November 1, 2013 at NY Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center, in NYC.
Born in Troy, on March 12, 1953, he was the son of the late William E. and Mary (Bover) Sheridan. Bill was married to Deborah (Tatton) Sheridan on October 28, 1978, with the two just celebrating 35 years of love and devotion together.
Bill was an Insurance Agent and the proud business owner of Wm. E. Sheridan Inc. in Watervliet along with his sister Nancy, which was founded by their father 57 years ago. He is also the current Vice President and Fire Police at the Menands Fire Company #1.
Will's greatest joys in life were his family, his summer home in Schroon Lake, riding his jet ski and being a member of the Menands Fire Company, as well as going on cruises with his beloved wife Deb and babysitting his granddaughter.
In addition to his beloved wife, best friend and caregiver Deb, he is survived by his loving children; Timothy M. (Josh) Sheridan of Slingerlands, Laurie A. (Justin) Pinze of Altamont, Jeffrey M. Sheridan of Slingerlands, Brian J. Sheridan and Brittney L. Sheridan both of Menands as well as his cherished granddaughter Madeline "Maddie" Pinze. He was also anxiously awaiting the arrival of his second grandchild. Bill is also survived by his dear sister Nancy Sheridan of Watervliet and her children Rachel and Dan Dombroski as well as other family members.
In keeping with Bill's wishes there will be no visitation.
Bill's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday November 6, 2013 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham. Fr. Geoffrey Burke will officiate.
In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Menands Fire Company #1, 250 Broadway, Menands, NY 12204
A special thank you to the doctors and staff of the NY Presbyterian-Columbia University Center for their care and concern they gave towards Bill.
Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
