MARIE CAMERA DeBARBIERI
Latham- Marie Camera DeBarbieri, 92, of Latham, beloved wife of the late Charles J. DeBarbieri, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 3, 2013 at Community Hospice at Van Rensselaer Manor in Troy.
Born June 19, 1921 in Albany, Marie was the daughter of the late Anthony and Angelina (Memole) Camera. Marie was married to Charles J. Debarbieri and the two shared a blessed union of 42 years of marriage before his passing in 1988.
Marie was a Health Office Assistant with the North Colonie School District retiring in 1991 after 25 years of service. During Would War II she worked for the Watervliet Arsenal. She was a member of Colonie Seniors and was active at St. Ambrose Church, where she was a member of the Young at Heart and the Food pantry. In her spare time, Marie enjoyed gardening.
Marie is survived by her loving children: Paul DeBarbieri, John (Jean) DeBarbieri and Carol DeBarbieri as well as her cherished grandchildren: Kyla and Christopher DeBarbieri. Marie had many, very much loved and loyal friends. She is survived by her most beloved friend for 60 years, Pauline Kubizne. She touched the lives of hundreds of people, and will be profoundly missed by her dear friends and neighbors.
She is predeceased by her siblings: Anthony "Buddy" Camera, Martha Toole, Rosemary Frederick as well as her loving daughter in law Ann DeBarbieri.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday October 7, 2013 from 4-7 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday October 8 at 10:00 am at the St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Interment will take place at Memory's Garden, Colonie.
