Obituary of Madeline E. Zibro Quinn

MADELINE E. ZIBRO QUINN Saratoga- Madeline passed away peacefully on September 1, 2013. Born November 14th 1929 in Troy, Madeline was the daughter of the late Ernest J and Anna (Knauer) DuBois Sr. Madeline was the wife of the late Frank G. Quinn and was married prior to Edward J. Zibro. She was raised in Troy, where she was a former member of Troy Country Club and Our Lady of Victory Church. She also lived in Cleverdale, Lake George for many years before moving to Latham in 1980. Madeline worked in Menands for NY Telephone from 1947 to 1950 as an office associate. She was also a part time employee at Boston Store at J.C Penny's. for several years. Survivors include her children Susan (Jim) Mooney of Cleverdale, Ned (Kathy) Zibro of Latham, Sandra (Ian) Rowlandson of Milwaukee, WI, Gary (Carol) Zibro of Lake George, Greg (Mary) Zibro of Wilton, and Tina (Robert) Flansburg of Saratoga. Madeline's grandchildren; James and Bryn-Erinn Mooney, Shae Rowlandson, Andrew and Anna Zibro, Nicholas Zibro, Whitney, Robbie, Schuyler, and Spencer Flansburg, Sean and Brendan Woods, Jim, "Paddy", Michael and Katie Zibro. Her sister Joyce Zibro and brother Don (Maryann) Zibro, also Quinn step-children, and Quinn step-grandchildren. She leaves behind nephew Rev. Francis DuBois formerly of St. Ambrose Church, nieces Christine Miller, and Gail Flood and many Zibro nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings Ernest, Arthur, and Frank DuBois, her sister in law's Eva and Gloria DuBois. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs on Friday September 6 from 4:30-7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday September 7 at 10:00 am from St. Clement's Church, 231 Lake Ave, Saratoga.
