OLGA TRICCHINELLI Colonie-Olga Saroka Tricchinelli, 92, of Colonie, passed away peacefully August 9, 2013 at Eddy Village Green. Born in Cohoes, Olga was the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary Luczkowec Saroka. Olga was joined in marriage with John Tricchinelli, a union of love and devotion for 56 years. During World War II, Olga worked at the Watervliet Arsenal and at New York Telephone. A renaissance woman, Olga enjoyed reading the classics, dancing with John, crafting Ukrainian Easter eggs, dressmaking, horseback riding, gardening, cooking, handicapping horses, being a den mother, and single malt scotch. Olga is survived by her son, Mark, and his wife, Dace. She was the proud grandmother to Robert and Peter. Olga was predeceased by her sisters, Nadia Saroka, Mary Greszczak and Julie Bowen. Friends are invited to call at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham, on Monday, August 12, 2013 from 4-6 p.m. Instead of flowers, the Tricchinellis suggest donations to the Eddy Village Green. The Tricchinellis also express their profound gratitude for the terrific staff at the Marjorie Doyle Rockwell Center and EVG Building No. 2.
