JOSEPH P. PARVANA
Latham-Joseph P. Parvana, 86 of Latham, husband of Constance M. Scholan Parvana, entered into eternal life on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Born in Molfetta Italy, he was the son of the late Georgio and Rosa Caputo Parvana. He was a graduate of Troy High School. Joe was employed by the New York State Department of Labor for over 40 years retiring as Director of Property Management. He was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. He was a life member of the Colonie Elks Lodge #2192. Joe was a member of the Troy Local Musician Union for many years and he was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years Constance M.(Scholan) Parvana, his loving children Joseph T. Parvana of MD, James G. (Sharon) Parvana of MI, Gregory T. (Nancy) Parvana of Burnt Hills, and Gina Parvana O'Neil of DE, he is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as his beloved family in Perth Australia. He was pre-deceased by his brother Pasquale Parvana.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday July 10, 2013 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday July 9, 2013 from 4-7 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY.
Interment will be in Memory Garden's in Colonie.
In lieu of flowers donations the Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Avenue Menands, New York 12204 would be appreciated.
