NANCY (FRANCHINI) CONTOIS Latham- My heart was broken today July 5 as I told friends and family of my beautiful, adoring wife's passing. My bride of 41 years went into the loving open arms of the Holy Father and to meet with her father the late Gino Franchini. Nancy was 59 and born in Albany. She attended St. Pius X School, Vincentian Institute and graduated from Shaker High School. She worked for the Linen Chest at Latham Circle Mall, became a devoted stay at home mom, and then a cook for the North Colonie Central Schools for several years. She was a Girl Scout in her youth and was an active leader in Girl Scouts later in her life. Nancy was a communicant of St. Pius X Church and Our Lady of the Assumption Church after her marriage and was a member of the Alter Rosary Society. Nancy is survived by her loving husband and best friend Joseph Contois Sr, son Joseph Contois Jr (Karyl), daughter Mandy Brown (Richard), her cherished grandchildren Nicholas Contois, Jacob Contois, Brianna Brown and Cody Joseph Brown. She is also survived by her mother Elizabeth (Pitts) Franchini, brothers Marino Franchini (Mimi), Steve Franchini (Deborah), sisters Marie Davis (Dan), Deborah VonFricken (Mike), Gina Franchini , Angela Anderson (Roy) and many beloved nieces and nephews.
