My thoughts and prayers go out to John and their family. John and Carroll came to Caversham, UK, as part of John's ministry. Later, they welcomed us into their home with their wonderful hospitality. I treasure one of their joint creations - a group of carol singers made in wood, cut by John and painted by Carroll - a true team. Carroll was a warm, talented and gracious lady.

I remember Aunt Carroll as a great cook (taught me to mix carrots and mashed potatoes together to get kids to eat them) and I remember the beautiful Easter eggs she painted. My love, prayers, and sympathy go out to Uncle John and my cousins.

I think back to raising our kids at the same time in La Crescent. I remember Carroll's cooking and think of her often as I page through my cook books and see her name on something delicious. I can almost her her "laugh" when I look at her picture. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. We know she is enjoying her place in Heaven and will be there to greet us someday.
