GERARD J. WEGNER
Loudonville- Gerard J. Wegner, 88 of Loudonville, beloved husband of Virginia Rush Wegner, died Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Home.
Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late George and Sarah (Young) Wegner. Mr. Wegner married the love of his life Virginia Rush on February 23, 1946. He served his country during World War II in the Navy from 1942 to 1945. Jerry was a Salesman, specializing in highway blacktop equipment employed by Raygo Corporation for many years.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his cherished children Geraldine (David) Brown of Cicero, Gail (David) Taylor of Latham and Debey (David) Siegel of Sacramento CA, two granddaughters, 7 grandsons and 6 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Jerry was predeceased by his brother, Donald Wegner.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday March 2, 2009 at 11:00 am at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday March 1, 2009 from 2-5 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Interment with military honors will be in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
A special thanks to the Loudonville Home for Adults especially Mike, Melissa, Lois, Kim and the loving caring staff as well as Dr. Roccario and Amanda of the Albany Cardiology Group. To the Nugent family and Ann Provost we will never forget you for the love and care given to Jerry.
