JOAN R. ANDRIANO Latham- Joan R. Andriano, 71 of Latham, beloved wife of Carl S. Andriano, died Saturday, February 7, 2009 at Marliere Hospice, in New Port Richey Florida . Born and educated in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Beatrice (Wagoner) Rem. Joan married her beloved Carl S. Andriano on October 4, 1958 and the two have shared a blessed union for the last 50 years. She was a graduate of the Cathederal Academy in Albany. As a young woman she worked for New York Telephone Co. as a phone operator for linemen. Joan was later employed by the New York State Higher Education Albany for over 20 years until her retirement . Survivors in addition to her husband include her cherished children Nicholas (Liz) Andriano, Laura (Frank) Feiden and Michele (Bill) Ross, her brother Alexander (Marge) Rem Jr. and sister Maryann Friedman, her cherished grandchildren Nicole (Kevin) Merriam, Bryan Andriano, Alexandra Miller and Keith Feiden, her adored great grandchildren Austin and Kayden. Joan was also survived by her brother in law Frank (Pauline) Andriano and her sister in law Marianne McCarthy. She was predeceased by her two brother in laws Jerome Friedman and Bob McCarthy. Funeral services for Joan will be held on Monday February 16 at 11:00 am from St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday February 15 from 2-6 at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
