BETTY E. MCDONOUGH Saratoga- Betty E. McDonough, 94, formerly of Round Lake, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Wesley Health Care Center, in Saratoga where she was currently a resident. Born in Troy on December 1, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Harry W. and Mary (Neagle) Moore. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence F. McDonough Jr. for 47 years prior to his passing in 1997. Betty was the Librarian at the Round Lake Library for many years and eventually well into her 80's. She was the oldest librarian in Saratoga County. She was also a loving and dedicated homemaker and truly loved antiquing with her husband Larry. She is survived by her loving children: Lawrence (Susan) F. McDonough III of Greenwich, Beth (Richard) A. Chapdelaine of Granby, MA and Richard T. McDonough of Saratoga as well as her cherished grandchildren: Jason (Danielle) McDonough, Kate (Dan) Hamilton and Derek Chapdelaine; her adored great grandchildren Delaney, Reegan and Ashlyn as well as her sister: Ellen Schlegel of Watervliet and her nieces: Janet Larkin and Jackie Schlegel. Betty is predeceased by her Brother: Ronald Moore and her sister: Sr. Ann Pierre Moore CSJ. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation and services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made in Betty's memory to the Round Lake Library, 31 Wesley Ave, Round Lake, NY 12151. Interment will take place Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
