Obituary of Livia R. Scalise

LIVIA R. SCALISE Albany- Livia Scalise, age 61, of Albany passed away on April 4, 2013 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Sorbo San Basile, Italy, Livia was daughter of the late Antonio and Maria Giglio. She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years Romualdo Scalise and her devoted children Catherine Scalise, Dominick "Mimmo" Scalise, Anthony Scalise and his wife Kristy, adored grandchildren, Gabriella Scalise and Bianca Scalise, her brothers James (Linda) Giglio of Voorheesville and Joseph (Isabella) Giglio of Guilderland. She is also survived by several cherished nieces and nephews as well as many other loving relatives here and in Italy. Livia retired from Verizon in 2003 after 30 years of service. Livia's love for her family was the focus of her life and she will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity to family and friends. Livia was known for her parties and great food. She loved entertaining and bringing friends and family together. Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday April 8 from 4-7 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at St. Francis of Assisi, 391 Delaware Avenue, Albany at 10:00 am. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetary in Menands. The family would especially like to thank Dr. Bakst and the staff at the Albany Medical Center Renal Dept. 3C for their kindness and support shown to Livia and her family.
