Obituary of Doris Elena Christman

DORIS E. CHRISTMAN Latham- Doris E. Christman, 89 of Latham, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Community Hospice at Samaritan Hospital, in Troy. Born in Rotterdam on July 28, 1923, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Lena (Fredericks) Brandle. Doris was employed with the Boston Store in Latham as a Credit Clerk eventually retiring after several years of dedicated service. She was a member of the Business & Professional Women's Group. She is survived by her loving children: James (Jan) A. Christman of Latham, Joseph F. Christman of Delanson and Linda (Thomas) M. Carter of Mason, MI. and her 9 cherished grandchildren: Jason, Shawn, Jennifer, Joseph, Liseann, Danielle, Jill, Elizabeth and Christine and several adored great grandchildren. Doris is predeceased by her Sons: David W. Christman and P. Michael Christman. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday April 1, 2013 from 12-2 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm immediately following the visitation at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Memory Garden's, Colonie. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Doris's name to the charity of ones choice.
