THERESA A. HOULIHAN
Latham- Theresa A. Houlihan, 79, of Latham, beloved wife of William H. Houlihan, peacefully away peacefully on Friday March 22, 2013 at St. Peters Nursing & Rehabilitation Center with her loving family by her side. .
Born November 26, 1933 in Troy, Theresa was the daughter of the late Walter B. and Katherine (Echter) Graber. Theresa married William H. Houlihan on November 29, 1958 and the two shared a blessed union of almost 55 years prior to her passing. .
She was a 1951 Graduate of C.C.H.S. Theresa was employed with the Watervliet Arsenal as a secretary where she worked for 22 years until retiring in 1993. She was a member of Young at Heart at St. Ambrose Church in Latham and Colonie Senior Citizens. She was a member of the 55er's at Our Lady of Assumption Church as well as the Altar Rosary Society. She was also known for her hospitality and her culinary & baking skills
Survivors in addition to her beloved husband William, include her loving sons: William (Tammy) L. Houlihan of Scottsdale, AZ and Timothy J. Houlihan of Latham. She is also survived by her cherished granddaughter Caitlin Houlihan of Az and her loving sister Sr. Katherine Graber RSM of Albany and several nieces & nephews.
Theresa is predeceased by her brothers, Vincent, Joseph, John, Charles, Tom & Dr. James Graber, as well as her sisters Sr. Mary Anita, Sr. Mary Ann, Sr. Mary Mercedes, Caroline Wilson, Marie Thomas, Margaret Treventi, and Frances Barachina.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday March 25, 2013 from 4-7 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday March 26 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham. Fr. Geoffrey Burke will officiate.
Interment will take place at the St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
