MARY LOURDES HALE Latham- Hale, Mary Lourdes Mullaney, 85 passing into the arms of the Lord peacefully with her loving family beside her on March 12, 2013. Mary was the Daughter of Anthony J. Mullaney Jr. and Catherine O'Toole Mullaney. Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Patrick James Hale Sr. She was the mother of John (Kathy) of Melrose, Patrick Jr. (Judy) of Albany, Barbara (Frank) Dolan of Latham, Brian (Joanne) of Latham, Brendan of Latham, Mary Hale Woodard of Johnsonville, Gunnery Sgt. Chris (Tina) of Latham, and Katherine (Shawn) Penniston of Acra and the late Michael Hale, who died in infancy. Mary was MiMi and Grandma to Lynn (Richard) Provancher, Theresa (Brent) Hubert, Tech Sgt. Liam (Kelly) Hale, Maura (Erik) Van Dyke, Rory (Alima Atoui) Dolan, Jason Hale, Nicholas Hale, Ashley Woodard, Amber Woodard, Michael (Taya Morris) Woodard, Sean and Chris Wilson, Lcpl. Daniel Hale, Katelynn and Jason Prestipino. She was a very proud great-grandmother of Chelsea Zecca and Coulton Provancher, Khloe and Kendall Van Dyke, Kaylie Wilson, Lucy Hale, Noah Hubert and Kayden Woodard. She is survived by her Sisters In-Law Margaret Hale Gilroy, and Mary Normile Mullaney and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved brother Anthony (Tony) J. Mullaney III. Mary was a graduate of Vincentian Institute. She held many jobs over the years, and then settled at Off Track Betting (OTB), where she worked until her retirement in the mid 90's. She was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians for over 50 years. She also served as a past President of the Albany County LAOH. She was a member of Daughters of Erin and served on the St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee. One of her proudest achievements was being All City (Albany) Archery Champion in the late 40's. Her greatest love in life was her children in whom she instilled the love of everything Irish. Her Irish eyes were always smiling when her children or grandchildren entered the room for a visit. She loved to brag about all their accomplishments and ready with lots of pictures and many stories. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday March 15, 2013 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Thursday from 4-7 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
