HELEN C. OLIN SCOTIA- Helen C. Olin, 98, a lifelong resident of Scotia and Schenectady and beloved wife of the late Fred R. Olin, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 2, 2009 at Baptist Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia. Born in Schenectady on July 9, 1910 she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Florence (Navarretta) Matrazzo. She was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and Columbia University with a Dental Hygenist degree. She was employed formerly as a Dental Hygenist for Dr. Isabella, Dr. Paul and Dr. Dinardo's office all in the Schenectady area. Helen also loved knitting and crocheting. Her family was the center of her life that brought her much joy. She is survived by her two loving daughters: Shirley (John) M. Morgan of Charlton and Gail (Richard) Wayand of Galway, her cherished grandchildren; Karen Mantas, Charles Wayand, Robin Renko, Tracy Petricca, Dennis Morgan and Ray Morgan as well as 10 adored great grandchildren and 2 nieces. She is predeceased by her daughter; Patricia M. Emmer and her brother; Nicholas Matrazzo Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Helen will be laid to rest next to her late husband Fred in Memory's Garden, Colonie. Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society 260 Osborne Rd.
