JOHN V. GAYNOR
Clifton Park- John "Jack" V. Gaynor of Clifton Park, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 12, 2013 at Community Hospice at St. Mary's Hospital, in Troy, with his loving family by his side.
Born in Watervliet, on June 7, 1920, he was the son of the late John G. and Clara (Kaiser) Gaynor. Jack was married to Elizabeth J. (Shufelt) Gaynor. He proudly served in the US Army during World War II.
Jack was employed with D&H Railroad in Colonie as an Engineer retiring after 40 years of service. He was an avid bowler at Latham Bowl & the Bowlers Club, and a former member of the American Legion and Colonie Elks #2192.
In addition to his beloved wife Elizabeth, he is survived by his loving children: Linda E. Gaynor of Watervliet and Nancy M. (James Jr.) Campone of Clifton Park his cherished grandchildren Alyssa & Michael Campone as well as his faithful canine companion "Jake"; 1 niece: Kathy Gaylo & 2 nephews: George & Bill Burns. He is predeceased by his sister Clara Gaynor.
Relatives & Friends are invited and may call on Tuesday January 15 from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham.
Funeral services will be held immediately following the visitation at 12:00 noon on Tuesday at the funeral home. Rev. Richard Lehmann will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204
Interment will take place in Memory Garden's, Colonie.
