Obituary of Joan A. Owens

JOAN A. OWENS Watervliet- Joan A. Owens, beloved wife of the late Robert S. Owens, entered into eternal life on Saturday, January 5, 2013, in the comfort of her home with her loving family at her side. Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Kane) Mahoney. Joan was a 1949 graduate of Catholic Central High School. She resided in Loudonville for many years. Survivors include her loving children Timothy (Kathleen) Owens of Albany, Susan (Keith) Herchenroder of Chesapeake VA, Christopher Owens of Clifton Park, Gregory Owens (Kirk Buchholz) of West Coxsackie and Kerry (David) Brant of Loudonville, her cherished grandchildren, Brian (Lee) Owens, Lauren Owens, Stephen Owens, Brad Herchenroder, Anna Herchenroder, Scott Owens, Connor Brant, Daniel Brant, Colin Brant, Owen Brant and her great-grandson Adrian James Owens. Robert (Ann) Neaton, dear nephew as well as many other nieces and nephews and her dear friend Donna Brickley of Latham. Joan was predeceased by her daughter Erin Patricia and her sisters Beatrice Neaton and Kathryn Mooney. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday January 8, 2013 at 9:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Rd. Latham on Monday from 4-7 p.m. Interment will be with her husband and daughter in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
