Obituary of Michael Scott Fitzgerald

MICHAEL SCOTT FITZGERALD Selkirk- Michael Scott Fitzgerald, 53 of Selkirk, died Saturday, December 22, 2012 at his home in Selkirk. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late David T. and Eleanor (Zepf) Fitzgerald. He was raised in Latham and graduated from Shaker High School in 1977. He was employed as a truck driver for Foodliner Inc. in Albany for several years. Michael enjoyed the game of golf. Survivors include his wife Sonja Anderson Fitzgerald, his children Katie Fitzgerald and Sean Fitzgerald of Florida, NY, his brother Mark (Patty) Fitzgerald of Latham, and Sharon Newcomb of Selkirk, brother in law, Bruce Newcomb of Selkirk, he was the uncle of Stacey Valigorsky, Kellie Fitzgerald, Bruce (Star) Newcomb Jr., Alicia (William) Schoon, James David (Haley) Schager, Keith Newcomb and Brianna Newcomb, great-uncle of Bruce Newcomb III, Emmah Newcomb, McKenzie Newcomb, Oliver Schager, Keegan Newcomb and Caleb Paquin. He was pre-deceased by his sister Susan Geddes. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday Dec. 26, from 4-7 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Interment will be in Memory Garden's, Colonie.
