Obituary of Carol G. Petruskevich

CAROL G. PETRUSKEVICH Latham- Carol G. Petruskevich, 78, of Latham, beloved wife of the late Joseph A. Petruskevich, passed away peacefully on Tuesday November 20, 2012 at Community Hospice at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center in Guilderland. . Born in Margaretville, NY on December 29, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Gertrude (Short) Leming. She was a graduate of the Albany Business College. Carol was married to Joseph Petruskevich who preceded her in death on October 20, 1992. Carol was a telephone operator for New York Telephone in Kingston for 2 to 3 years, following that she was employed as a secretary with the NYS Division for Youth in Albany for 30 years. She was a member of the Colonie Senior Citizens and was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church where she was a member of the "Young at Heart" there. Carol is predeceased by her cherished daughter JoAnn Petruskevich who passed away in 1998. She is survived by her loving sister Charlotte Marks of Schoharie as well as her nephews: Kevin, Stephen and Brian Marks and several nieces & nephews in Pennsylvania. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday November 23, 2012 from 3:00p.m. til 5:00 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday November 24, 2012 at 9:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave, Menands, NY 12204 Interment will take place in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
