MABEL D. WEARSTLER Latham- Mabel D. Wearstler, 81 of Latham, beloved wife of 61 years to Jack H. Wearstler, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at Albany Memorial Hospital, in Albany. Born in Kent, Ohio on November 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Grace (Hall) Dixon. She also knew the love of Charles & Glennie Patrick whom she was raised by. Mabel was a Registered Nurse with Albany Memorial Hospital for many years, retiring in 1991. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Mariner United Methodist Church in Florida, United Methodist Church Women as well as Calvary United Methodist Church in Latham. She was a former member of Grafton Methodist Church. In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her loving children: John (Jean) Wearstler of Springfield, MA and Jacqueline (George) Marshall of Clifton Park, NY, and her 2 cherished grandsons: George Marshall III and John Marshall. She is also survived by her stepsister Eileen Seymour of VA. Mabel is predeceased by her son: Thomas and her brother Melvin Dixon. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Monday September 17 from 10:00- 11:00 am at Calvary United Methodist Church, 15 Belle Avenue, Latham. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00 am at the church immediately following the visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Calvary United Methodist Church.
