GERARD "GARY" H. ROSCOE
CENTER BRUSNWICK- Gerard "Gary" H. Roscoe, 65 of Center Brunswick, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Samaritan Hospital, in Troy.
Born in Troy on July 4, 1947, he was the son of the late Hubert and Eleanor (Hayner) Roscoe. He was a graduate of Tamarac HS and HVCC. Gary was married to Deborah L. (Paluch) Roscoe and the two shared a blessed union of 42 years together. He proudly served in the Army National Guard from 1968-1974.
Due to his strong mechanical inclination, he began his career as a mechanic with Case Construction Equip., he then continued in industrial sales for over 30 years with Shako Inc. in Latham and finally as an administration assistant at PVA in Cohoes. Gary was a member of the Kappa Sigma Kappa Fraternity for over 40 years. He had a deep love for his family, home and country.
In addition to his beloved wife: Deborah, he is survived by his loving children: Graham (Tatiana Gott) Roscoe of Brooklyn, NY & Gretchen (Antonio) DiCocco of Schenectady. He was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his first grandchild in February. Gary is also survived by his brother: Gill Roscoe of Troy.
The family would like to thank Dr. John O'Bryan, Dr. K. Perumal & Nurse Shirley for their care & compassion, and a special thank you to Sherry for all that she is and all that she did.
Funeral services will be celebrated on Monday August 20 at 10:30 am at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Rev. David Bissett will officiate.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Sunday August 19 from 2-5 PM at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the MS Society, 421 New Karner Rd., Suite 6, Albany NY 12205.
Interment will take place in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Colonie.
