Obituary of Helen Marie Brown

HELEN MARIE BROWN Latham- Helen Marie Brown, 73 of Latham, beloved wife of Larry W. Brown, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Albany Memorial Hospital, in Albany. Born in Central Bridge, NY on May 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary (Wilke) Keyser. Helen married Larry W. Brown on November 2, 1975 and the two shared a bless union of over 36 years prior to her passing. Helen was employed with the NYS Department of Transportation, the NYS Dept. of Motor Vehicles and with the NYS Dept. of Taxation & Finance in Albany retiring in 2002, after 26 years of service. Helen loved showing their many Old English Sheepdogs with her husband Larry. She also truly enjoyed creating floral arrangements and was also known for her Christmas wreaths & trees. In addition to her beloved husband: Larry, she is survived by her loving children: Dierdre (Mark) Fitzgerald of Howes Cave, NY, C. Edison (Patrice) Chichester of Myrtle Beach SC, Dana Chichester of Latham, her 4 legged children: Jodie, Sugar & Maggie and her son in law Phil Giordano of Latham. She cherished in the heart the memory of her daughter Denise Giordano who passed away in 2011. Helen is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Mark & Brandon Hess, Genevieve Giordano, Kaylin & Jennifer Chichester and Shane Owens; and her great-grandchildren: Jillian & Alissa Hess as well as her siblings: George (Wanda) Keyser, Ed (June) Keyser all of Schoharie. She is predeceased by her sister Wanda Pfarr Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday June 8, 2012 from 5-7 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham Funeral services will be held on Saturday June 9, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham.
