Obituary of Kathryn Rinaldi

KATHRYN "KAY" RINALDI Latham- Kathryn "Kay" Rinaldi, 85 of Latham, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Community Hospice at St. Peter's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, in Albany. Born in Albany on November 18, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Giordano) Rinaldi. She was a graduate of Russell Sage College where she received her Bachelors Degree; she then received her Masters from SUNY. Kay was employed with NYS Department of Environmental Conservation in Albany as a Business Administrator, retiring in 1993 after 45 years of service. Kay was an avid bowler and enjoyed gardening. She was also a member of C.S.E.A., Uncle Sam's Sparklers Line Dancing, and attended the Bright Horizons Day Care. Kay was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church. She is survived by her loving sister: Lucille Rinaldi of Latham and several cherished nieces & nephews as well as her sister in law: Carm Rinaldi of Watervliet. She is predeceased by her sister: Camille Follett & her brother: Anthony Rinaldi. Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday morning May 26, 2012 from 8:30-9:30 am at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Kay's Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday May 26 at 10:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Fr. Francis DuBois will officiate. The family wishes to thank the staff of St. Peter's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center as well as Community Hospice for their loving care and compassion. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 1 Computer Drive S. #104, Albany, NY 12205 Interment will take place in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
