JOHN A. VALOZE HALFMOON-John A. Valoze, 75 of Halfmoon, beloved husband of Joan A. Musacchio Valoze, entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at his home with his loving family at his side. Born and educated in Troy, he was the son of the late John and Carmela (Capuano) Valoze. Mr. Valoze married the love of his life Joan A. Musacchio July 24, 1965 and the two have shared a blessed union of 47 years. He was a United States Air Force Veteran serving from 1956 until 1960. John was a Sheet Metal Worker, employed by The Sheet Metal Workers Union Local #83 until retiring in 1992. He resided in Latham for over 25 years and has lived in The Villages, Florida since 2007 and Halfmoon since 2008. He was an active member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 83. John had a love of Antique cars and was a member of the Mohawk Antique Auto Club. His greatest joy in his life was his family. Survivors in addition to his wife include his three loving sons John Valoze of Lake Mary, FL, Louis Valoze of Savannah, GA and Carman Valoze of Halfmoon, his sister Ann Bornt of Melrose and brother Don Valoze of Tucson, AZ, his cherished grandchildren Matthew Valoze, Gianni Valoze and Malena Valoze. He was predeceased by his brother, Louise Valoze, brother, Gerald Valoze and sister, Lucy Pollock. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday May 15, 2012 from 5-7 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. A Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday May 16, 2012 at 10:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke Pastor officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
