DOLORES W. GENDRON Latham- Dolores "Dee" Gendron of Latham, passed away peacefully at home on Monday April 30, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. Dee was born in Albany to the late Elmer J. and Helen (Dineen) Dale. She was a graduate of Vincentian Institute and worked for several years at the First Trust Company in Albany & the Army Depot in Schenectady. She moved to Latham upon her marriage to her husband, Norman who predeceased her in 2003. She was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church, was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society, the Altar Rosary Society & the Nocturnal Adoration Society. Dee was also a volunteer at Our Lady of Hope Residence in Latham where she was a member of the Association of St. Jeanne Jugan. In addition to being a loving & devoted wife, Dee was a beautiful mother to her 5 daughters: Barbara Beach, Dee Bethel (Tim), Kathy Gendron, Janet Gibbons (Bill), & Mary Fontaine. Dee was adored by her 7 grandchildren: Bryan & Megan Bethel, Jason Beach, Craig & Casey Gibbons and Scott & Daneille Fontaine. "GiGi" will be missed by her 4 great grandchildren: Ava & Maya Beach, Brayden Gibbons and Brooklynn Fontaine-Scavio. Dee will also be missed by her cherished sister Joan Haller, many nieces & nephews and life-long friends, Reggie Salamander & Bea Vinceguerra. She was predeceased by her brothers Elmer "Bud", Richard "Dick", and her sister Helen & grandson Bryan. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday May 2 from 3-6 pm at Our Lady of Hope Residence, 1 Jeanne Jugan Lane, Latham. A Mass of Celebration honoring Dee's Life will be celebrated at 6:30 pm following the visitation. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dee's memory can be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, 1 Jeanne Jugan Lane, Latham, NY 12110 or to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd.
