ALBERT J. LESKO Latham- Albert J. Lesko, 82 of Latham, beloved husband of the late Genevieve Lesko, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 20, 2012 at St. Peter's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, in Albany. Born in Yonkers on January 9, 1930, he was the son of the late Michael and Mary Lesko. Albert proudly served in the US Army. He is predeceased by the former Genevieve M. (Morrison) Lesko. The two shared a blessed union of 53 years prior to her passing in 2010. Al was a retired teacher with the Cornwall Central School District and & Scarsdale School District. He then was an Auditor for the Manatee County Government in Florida, a position he retired from in August of 1996. He & Gen had resided in Bradenton & Bradenton Beach, Fla. for over 25 years before moving to Latham in 2005. He was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Al is survived by his loving daughters: Kathleen M. (Gregory) Ruth of Colonie & Susan B. Lesko of Latham, his 2 cherished grandchildren: Jenna & Andrew Ruth as well as his brother in laws: John (Janet) Morrison of MD & Donald Morrison of DE. He is predeceased by his siblings: John, Michael, Emil, Marion, Catherine & Irene. Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday April 23 from 4-7 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday April 24 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Al's memory to the OLA Church Fund, 498 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Latham, NY 12110 Interment will take place in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, NY.
