It’s November 1, 2022, just two days after Philip’s heavenly birthday. I once called Philip “husband” with years of devotion and growing up together. Philip remains in my heart , forever. His faith was strong, and I only wish I can turn the clock back to 1976. Most memorable: Three weeks in Italy where we returned home early because the Yankees were in the World Series…such was his love for the Yankees! love, light, and peace dear Philip. Lisa

Dear Veronica,Gloria,Julie and Frank. It's impossible to describe my feelings for Phil. Iam a life long friend of Frank's and knew Phil from when he was born. He was Frank's shadow when we were growing up in Brooklyn. When I moved To So Ozone Park they followed a few years later. I know how much Frank loved Phil. We grieve for the loss when our loved ones pass but the love that is in our hearts and minds will remain forever. To me Phil will always be the shadow of my Best Friend Frank. We even vacationed one year together on a trip to Canada.Veronica my deepest sympathy to you and you entire family.

Philip was my friend and next door neighbor when his family moved from Brooklyn to 128th Street in South Ozone Park, Queens... until he later relocated to Albany, NY. I have all great memories of those years, and gratitude for having reconnected with Philip and other Nostramos in the past year. I write this with a heavy heart to learn of his suffering and passing, especially for the grief of all his loved ones and friends. Take comfort in the blessed assurance that he's with our Lord in heaven, and there's a joyful reunion coming. The smile in his photo tells the story.
With Deepest Sympathy and Much Love,
Virginia Santoro, Millie & Charlie Santoro

It was 37 years ago Phil and I met in the back row of a tax law class at Hofstra and we have been friends ever since. Where did the time go? When did our kids turn into adults? We shared a lot of good times with you and you'll always remain in our hearts and minds. Rest peacefully my friend.

In the words of St. Therese, The Little Flower, who Phil, of course, introduced me to: "What matters in life is not great deeds but great LOVE." Although Phil can lay claim to a multitude of great deeds, it is the love and caring that poured from his heart that will be a constant inspiration to us all. My deepest condolences to Veronica, Gloria, Andrew, Julie, Mark, Frank, Tony and Diane and the whole wonderful family and myriad friends. We are blessed to have been in his good company. Peace and Love, Sue

Phil was larger than life and had a tremendous influence on those lucky enough to know him. A brilliant man of faith, he was a teacher, a mentor, a steadfast friend. Most of all, he was a family man and lived for the happiness of Veronica and his girls. We are all richer for the time we spent with him. Rest in peace, Boss.

Phil was a private person and would complain about all this attention and not want to be a bother to anyone. On the other hand I think, deep down he would love to know how much he was loved and I think he always did. The hole he has left in our lives and in our hearts cannot ever be filled. God Bless Him and may He Rest in Peace. T&J

Veronica, thank you for loving Phil and caring for him with such devotion. We should all be that lucky.
Phil loved you so much. Frank, your love for your little brother and his family is quite a lesson. He often shared with us how much you meant to him, and know we understand the bond.
Julie and Gloria, Phil's treasures, you know how much you are loved by Phil a love that we all witnessed, since your birth.
Tony and Dianne, friendships like yours are hard to find, yet Phil was blessed to have found both of you.
I hope that you all find comfort in the memories you built together, the many good times that we were fortunate to be a part of. Phil is well on his way to enjoy eternal life and his light shines brighter than ever. He will be a presence in your lives, pay attention and you will see. Know that we are here for you,
Our deepest sympathy,

To Philip's family,
My family and I would like to send our condolences to Veronica, Gloria, Julie and Frank. We remember Phil fondly. I have been recounting the endless hours of law school reading, the bar exam and the move to Albany and the struggles of starting a career. Not to forget Yankee games and ski trips. I have known Phil since I was 16 years old; we grew up in the same neighborhood and shared family and friends. There are few words of comfort I can provide except to say that Philip was a good soul with deep faith in G-d and I know that he is reigning in heaven with a loving Lord. I know that he is rejoicing with former Yankee players and resting in peace.
G-d Bless you all,
Lisa Pandone Benson

Dear Veronica, Gloria, Julie and Frank,
It's impossible to describe my feelings for Phil. For almost 30 years we shared so many wonderful memories-
your wedding day, the births of Gloria and Julie wedding anniversaries, birthday parties and just everyday events like going down to Yankee Stadium or just taking a ride to Barnes and Noble.
Whatever we did he always got a twinkle in his eye when he talked about you and he always beamed with pride over his two beautiful daughters.
I teased "Philly Boy" relentlessly all in good fun.
We were two old guys trying to have fun and enjoy life.
And that we did.
You did a phenomenal job in caring for him (even if he said he didn't like the desserts you picked out).
Frank was a great assistant and between the both of you, he got the best health care possible.
Along with Gloria and Julie's unlimited love-he had a team not to be topped.
So many memories over 30 years-but of course I would have loved 30 years more.Unfortunately that was not to be.
Phil was and is a very special person to so many people. To me he will always be irreplaceable.
I will love him and miss him everyday of my life.
May he rest in peace.
Tony
