DOROTHEA L. SCHREIBER Menands- Dorothea L. Schreiber, 89, a longtime resident of Menands and beloved wife of the late Donald B. Schreiber, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospital, in Troy. Born in New York, NY, on July 1, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Madeline (Schilling) Lawless. At one time she was an Executive Secretary for RCA in New York City, JN Futia in Albany and eventually for the Huyck Felt Co. in Rensselaer. She was also a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Dorothea is survived by her loving sons: Douglas (Janine) Schreiber of Latham & Donald (Nancy) Schreiber of South Lake, TX , and her 4 cherished grandchildren Christopher, Steven, Nicole & Stacy and 7 Great grandchildren as well as her sister: Madeline Middlemark of Long Island. She will also be truly missed by her faithful canine Baxter whom she lovingly considered him as her 5th grandchild. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Wednesday November 9 from 9:30 - 11:00 am at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road. Dorothea's Mass of Christian Burial will also be celebrated on Wednesday November 9 at 11:30 am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham.
