DOROTHY C. BELAIR Latham- Dorothy C. Belair, 83 of Colonie, beloved wife of Raymond H. Belair, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital, in Albany. Born in Sanford, ME on December 31, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. and Blanche G. (Lehouillier) Fortier. Dorothy was married to Raymond H. Belair on June 26, 1948 and the two shared a blessed union of 63 years together. She was employed with the Sears & Roebuck Company in Colonie in the Catalog Sales Department retiring in 1990 after 24 years. Dorothy was a communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham. She was a volunteer at Our Lady of Hope in Latham for many years. Dorothy's greatest joy in life was the family that she and her husband loved so dearly. Survivors in addition to her husband include her loving children Esther (Robert) Callaghan of Clifton Park & Mark A. (Patricia) Belair of New York City, 5 cherished grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and her sister: Marguerite Belanger of Sanford Maine, she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday October 10, 2011 at 9:00 am in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road, Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Sunday October 9, 2011 from 2-5 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham Interment will take place in St. Ignatious Cemetery, Sanford Maine at the convenience of the family.
