RAYMOND E. STYCZYNSKI
Latham - Raymond E. Styczynski, 76 of Latham passed away peacefully Thursday, August 11, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital, in Albany.
Born in Troy on January 23, 1935, he was the son of the late Raymond E. and Alice (Wolejko) Styczynski. He proudly served in the US Air Force.
Ray was employed as a School Bus Driver with the North Colonie Central School District eventually retiring after 44 years of service. He lived in his home on the Mohawk River for 42 years and was affectionally known to many as the "czar "of River Road. Ray was also an avid hunter & fisherman and was a former member of Ducks Unlimited.
He is survived by his loving daughter: Victoria L. Styczynski of Latham; his cherished grandson David (Allison) Greg of Versailles, KY , great granddaughter Jordan Walters and he was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his 2nd great grandchild at the end of September. Ray is also survived by his siblings: Virginia Styczynski of Latham, Anita (Bill Moore) Styczynski of East Schodack, Donna (Richard) Perry and John (Mary Anne) Styczynski all of Saratoga Springs, several nieces & nephews as well as his former wife Bernadette Hoffman of Latham and sister in law Claire Styczynski of Cohoes.
He is predeceased by his brother Daniel.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday August 14 from 2-5 PM at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 9:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham
Due to floral regulations at the cemetery the family requests that donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 5 Computer Dr. West, Suite 100, Albany, NY 12205
Interment will take place at Saratoga National Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
