Obituary of Jeannette R. Dufort

JEANNETTE R. DUFORT Latham- Jeannette R. Dufort, 79 of Latham, beloved wife of the late Edward V. Dufort, Jr., passed away Friday, July 29 at Eddy Heritage House in Troy where she currently was a resident. Born in Cohoes on December 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Laurent A. and Rachel (Baillargeon) Benoit. Jeanette was married to Edward Dufort Jr. and had a blessed union prior to his passing in 2003 Jeannette was a loving and dedicated homemaker who family meant everything to her. She was a communicant of St. Ambrose Church in Latham where she was a member of the choir, a lector and member of the Mom's at Home Club. She is survived by her loving children: Catherine (Russell) Boudreau of Latham, Jeanne (Pat) Dufort of Georgia, Margaret McNamara of CA, Amy (Ted) Clairmont of Texas, Patricia (Mark) Meyers of Clifton Park, Kenneth E. Dufort of Vermont & Michael L. Dufort of Latham. 16 cherished grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren as well as her brother Raymond Benoit of Clifton Park and several nieces and nephews Jeanette is predeceased by her brother: Donald Benoit Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday August 2 from 4-7 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday August 3 at 9:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
