Obituary of Elizabeth Joan Carpino

ELIZABETH JOAN CARPINO Latham- Elizabeth Joan Carpino, 83 of Latham, beloved wife of the late John J. Carpino, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 31, 2011 at her sons home with her loving family at her side. Born educated and raised in Glasco, NY on January 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Sisco) Ferraro. She was joined in marriage to John J. Carpino on June 9, 1946 and the two shared a blessed union of almost 60 years together before his passing on February 13, 2006.It was in 1981 that she relocated to Latham. She was a seamstress by trade and a devout catholic. She is survived by her loving children: Sharon (Gino) E. Santorio of Latham and Gary J. (Jacqueline) Carpino of Clifton Park her cherished grandchildren John & Gino Santorio and Jovan & Gian Carpino as well as her sister, Rose Ciarlante of Saugerties and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 4, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Assumption Church 498 Watervliet-Shaker Road Latham with Rev. Geoffrey Burke officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 5:30 p.m. 7:30 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 Entombment will take place along side her beloved husband in Memory Garden's, Colonie.
