Obituary of Robert W. Davis

ROBERT W. DAVIS Galway-Robert W. Davis, 58 of Galway, beloved husband of Kathleen A. Cooney Bradt Davis, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at Saratoga Hospital with his loving wife and family at his side after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Wesley Earl and Elizabeth (O'Brien) Davis. He was a Mortgage Consultant employed by Wells Fargo in Latham, for many years and retired due to illness in 2009. Bob's greatest joy in life was the time he spent with his family. Survivors include his beloved wife Kathleen A. (Cooney) Bradt Davis, his step-child Scott (Tammy) Panten of Latham, Step-father Francis Guyette of Troy, his brother James (Christine) Davis of Wisconsin, one grandson William Edward Panten and two nephews. He will be missed greatly by his canine companion Daisy. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday May 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Rd. Latham, with Rev. Francis DuBois officiating. In keeping with Bob's wishes there will be no calling hours. The family would like to thank Dr. Liebers and the staff of Saratoga Hospital for the care and concern given to Bob and his family. As a final act of kindness to mankind Bob has donated his eye cornea so others may receive the gift of sight.
