GARY MARCH
Athens-Gary March, 56 of Athens and formerly of Lake Elizabeth, Grafton, beloved husband of Suzanne Daoust March for over 33 years, died Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, in Albany with his wife at his side.
Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Russell A. and Gloria (Woodhouse) March. Gary was a graduate of Shaker High School class of 1972. He served his country in the United States Navy as E-4 from 1976 until 1980 where he received the Naval Hospital Corps certificate of completion. He married the love of his life Suzanne Daoust on July 9, 1977 and the two have shared a wonderful marriage of over 33 years. Gary was employed at Albany Medical Center for many years prior to establishing his private practice March Monitoring Inc. where he served as the Chief Technologist for the last 10 years. Gary was a founding member, past-president and treasurer of the Charles E. Henry Society of Electroneurodiognostic (END). Gary was a member of the board of the American Society of END Technologist. He was a board examiner of the American Board of END Technologist. He was past-president of the Lake Elizabeth lot owners association and a member of the Sleepy Hollow Lake Association of property owners. Gary was an avid fisherman and loved skiing.
Survivors in addition to his wife include his sister Karen (Ed) Trachsler of Grafton, his sister-in-law Ginny March, his brother-in-law Paul (Judith) Daoust, brother-in-law Thomas (Linda) Daoust, sister-in-law Cheryl (Philip) Herfort and several nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by his brother David R. March.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate Gary's life will be held on Saturday May 7, 2011 at 11:00 am in the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Rd. Latham.
Interment will be private in Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
