Obituary of Lloyd K. Kinney

LLOYD K. KINNEY Latham- Lloyd K. Kinney, 65 of Latham, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening November 25, 2008 at Albany Memorial Hospital, in Albany. Born in Honesdale, PA on June 6, 1943, he was the son of Earl F. and Gladys M. (Riker) Kinney. Lloyd was married to the former Alice R.Cavanagh on December 29, 1962 and the two have shared a union of almost 45 years prior to his passing. He also served in the U.S. Army. He was employed for the NYS Dept of Corrections at many New York facilities and was lastly in Greene Correctional Facility in Greene as a Lieutenant Corrections officer. He retired in 1996 after 27 years of service. Lloyd was a past member of the Masons in Ellenville, NY and was involved with many social functions at Immaculate Conception Church in Woodbourne. Survivors in addition to his parents Earl & Gladys Kinney of Roscoe, NY, include his beloved wife Alice at home, his loving children; Lloyd (Kelly) E. Kinney of FL, Frank (Carol) G. Kinney of Crescent, and Amy J. Kinney and her fiancee E.J. Burnash of Latham, 2 cherished grandsons Joseph Kinney and Jared Kinney as well as his two brothers: Earl (Natalie) Kinney of Hortonville, NY and Jesse (Shirley) Kinney of Liberty, NY Memorial services will be held Saturday November 29 at 11:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday morning from 10:00- 11:00 am at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham, NY.
