DOROTHY A. JUNE
Latham- Dorothy A. June, 83 of Latham, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, April 19, 2011. She was the daughter of the late Jacob J. and Gertrude (Dreimiller) Fox.
She was born and raised in Rensselaer and resided there until 1972. Dorothy attended St. John's Academy and graduated in 1946. She was an employee of the New York State Dept. of Tax & Finance for many years and eventually retired from the NYS Dept. of Labor in 1980. She then resided in Zephyrhills Florida for a short time. At one time she was also a former resident at the Beltrone Living Center and Colonie Manor Assisted Living in Latham. She was married to Joseph Ketzer in 1947.
Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, reading and crossword & jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her loving children Joyce (Vincent) Sheehan of Albany, Joseph (Lois) Ketzer of Florida, Kenneth Ketzer of East Greenbush, Jacqueline Decker of Clifton Park & Richard "Dick" (Elena) Ketzer of Averill Park, 15 cherished grandchildren, 13 adored great grandchildren as well as her sister Ann (Glen) VanAlstyne of Rensselaer, her dear friend Claire Bluteau of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her sister: Ruth (Ross) Edwards, her brothers Robert & Jack Fox and her dear friends for many years Vivian Therrien & Don Bluteau.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday April 22 from 4-7 pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham.
Funeral services will be held Saturday April 23 at 9:30 am at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Fr. Joseph Lefebvre will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 85 Watervliet Ave., Albany NY 12206
Interment will take place Memory's Garden, Colonie.
