Obituary of Gerard P. Gajewski

GERARD P. GAJEWSKI Troy-Gerard P. Gajewski, 62 of Troy, died suddenly Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. Born in England, he was son of the late Zygmunt and Wanda (Menaldi) Gajewski. He was raised in Niskayuna and graduated from Niskayuna High School. Gerard served his country as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp. He was currently employed as the maintenance coordinator for the Oxford Heights Apartments in Guilderland a position he has held for the last 7 years. Survivors include his longtime companion Ella Givney of Troy and her children Michael, Stephen and Matthew Givney, his brothers Konrad Gajewski of Ottawa, Canada, Waldemar (Mary) Gajewski of Barneveld, NY, his sisters Halina Gajewski of Niskayuna and Alicja (Scott) Spinney of Broadlands, VA, he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday February 9, 2011 at 11:00 am in St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Road, Latham with Rev. Francis DuBois officiating. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday from 5-7 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Rd. Latham. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
