CARMELLA "KAY" VINCIQUERRA
Loudonville-Carmella "Kay" "Bima" Vinciquerra, 85 of Loudonville, beloved wife of the late Anthony Vinciquerra, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at her home with her loving family at her side.
Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary Elizabeth (Casey) Ginardi. She graduated from the Cathedral Academy and the Albany Business College. She worked for the Federal Government at the Navy Depot in Scotia for many years as a clerk and the New York State Taxation and Finance for many years. In her retirement she ran a home daycare which left many lasting memories with the children who were enrolled there. She loved her children and especially helping watch her grandchildren. Kay loved to travel with her family and friends. She enjoyed reading; crossword puzzle's and loved dancing and music. Kay tap danced as a young girl on the Forest Willis radio show on Saturday mornings and earned honorable mention when she tried out for Major Bowes talent show in NYC. She was a former member of the Kuhn Senior Citizen Club. The greatest joy in her life was to be with her family, husband, children and grandchildren. She was a longtime communicant of St. Pius X Church in Loudonville
Survivors include her loving children Charlene Baechel of Colonie, Anthony (Toni) Vinciquerra of CA, Lisa (Ken) Lee of Clifton Park and Tina (Scott) Phillips of Glenville, Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey Lee, Gregory Lee, Abigail Lee, Tairyn Phillips, Cristina Phillips, Anthony Phillips, Gabrielle Phillips, Luke Phillips, Rebecca Phillips, Jesse Phillips, Casey E. Phillips, Sophia Vinciquerra, Olivia Vinciquerra and Jayden Anthony Vinciquerra, sister of Anna (Fred) Della Rocca of Colonie and Joseph (Brenda) Ginardi of Clifton Park, dear friend of Pat Brown, Bertha Willey and Johnnie Lee. Kay was predeceased by her angel granddaughter Nicole Marie Lee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday January 22, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville with Rev. Michael Farano officiating.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home 149 Old Loudon Road Latham.
Interment will be next to her late husband Anthony in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie.
