Obituary of Ernest G. Riberdy

Latham- Ernest G. Riberdy, 83 of Latham, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 14, 2008 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Born in Cohoes, on October 8, 1925, he was the son of the late Ernest J. and Celia Riberdy. He was married to the former Congetta "Connie" Flush, and the two have shared a blessed union of 62 years together. He was a 1943 graduate of C.B.A. and served his country proudly during World War II in the US Army. Ernie was a longtime communicant of Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Latham.
Ernie was a Postal Carrier & Clerk employed by US Postal Service and was very proud of officially being the #2 mailman in Latham behind his good friend. He retired after 40 years of service. Ernie also was the Owner of Riberdy Oil Comp. in Cohoes for 30 years, Member of the C.B.A. Fathers Association, Parnil Golf League at Western Turnpike and the Redwood Mixed Bowling league.
Survivors in addition to his beloved wife Connie include his loving son Ernest D. Riberdy and his fiancee Claudia of Latham, cherished grandson Daniel E. Riberdy of Latham and many special friends.
In keeping with Ernie's wishes there will be no visitation with memorial services to be held at the chapel at Memory's Garden in Colonie at a later date.
