MARGARET C. SACCOCIO
Glens Falls- Margaret C. (Flinn) Saccocio, 90 of Glens Falls, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, January 2, 2011 at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born in Scranton, PA on January 19, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marguerite (Donaldson) Flinn. Margaret was predeceased by her husbands; Daniel Wahl, Angelo Saccocio & Vincent Caesar and her sister Marion (Bud) Jones.
She was employed with the Tobin Packing Company in Albany, she retired in 1980 after 25 years of service. She then worked for many years in the family business; Young's Chinese Restaurant in Glens Falls. Her family was a foremost priority in her life and she continuously showered them all with never ending love and affection.
Margaret loved to ride horseback & motorcycles. She especially enjoyed travelling, and she always made her annual pilgrimage to St. Anne's Basilica in Quebec, Canada.
She is survived by her loving daughter Mary Lee (Wahl) Young and her companion David Alden of Glens Falls, her 2 cherished grandchildren Marguerite (Young) Robinson and her husband David & Daniel Young and his wife Julie all of Queensbury as well as her 4 adored great grandchildren; David, Joey, Matthew & Owen. Margaret is also survived by her companion Ben Baccari.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation.
A Memorial Mass and Celebration of her Life will take place on Saturday January 8 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, 448 Aviation Road, Queensbury, NY 12804. Fr. Joseph Busch will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Our Lady of the Annunciation Church in Margaret's memory.
