Obituary of Lynda Ann Laurent

LYNDA ANN LAURENT Latham- Lynda Ann Laurent, 60 of Latham, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, November 22 at Ellis Hospital, in Schenectady. Born in Troy on August 21, 1950, she was the daughter of the late John R. and Margaret C. (LaFleur) Laurent. She was a graduate of Keveny Memorial Academy where she played trumpet in the band as well as HVCC where she received her Associates Degree. She was employed with the Office of Temporary & Disability Assistance formerly the Dept. of Social Services in Albany, a position she retired from in 2006 Lynda truly enjoyed music and was an accomplished pianist in her younger years. She especially enjoyed all of the Broadway shows and live theater with her friends. She is survived by her loving brother: John C. and his wife Cathy Laurent of Niskayuna her cherished nieces and nephew: Nicole (Brett) Clouthier, Danielle Laurent and Marc Laurent as well as her faithful canine companion; her Jack Russell Terrier, Jake. Relatives and friends are invited and may call Friday from 4:00-6:30pm at Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. Funeral Services will take place at 6:30 pm immediately following the visitation. The family wishes to especially thank the staff at Ellis Hospital for their exceptionally thoughtful care in assisting Lynda in her final journey.
