Obituary of Roberta C. Strait

ROBERTA C. STRAIT Latham- Roberta C. Coghill Strait, 59 of Latham, beloved wife of Douglas A. Strait, passed away peacefully after a long struggle with cancer on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital, in Albany. Born in Troy on February 4, 1951, she was the daughter of the late James Hunter and the late Lois Jane (McCabe) Coghill. She was a 1969 Graduate of Shaker High School. Roberta was employed as an Emergency Room Liaison at Albany Medical Center for 8 years. She also was a dental assistant at Latham Dental for many years. Roberta enjoyed and participated in many activities at Gilda's Club in Latham. Survivors in addition to her beloved husband Doug; include her 2 loving sons: Gregory Hunter and Alexander James "AJ" Strait both of Latham as well as her 2 sisters: Karen Denison & Susan Peterson Family and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday December 1 from 10:00-11:30 am at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, Ltd., 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:30 immediately following the visitation. Fr. Bob DeLeon will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, 3 Oakland Ave., Menands, New York 12204 Interment will take place in Memory's Garden, Colonie.
