Obituary of Elizabeth "Betty" M. Soucy

ELIZABETH "BETTY" M. SOUCY Loudonville- Elizabeth "Betty" M. Soucy, 85 of Loudonville, beloved wife of W. Roland Soucy, passed away in the arms of the lord on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Corinth on July 12, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Mildred (Wood) Bogle. Betty was a graduate of Russell Sage College, then receiving her Masters degree from SUNY Plattsburgh. She was married to W. Roland Soucy on August 30, 1952 and the two have shared a blessed union of love and devotion for over 58 years. Betty was a dedicated Teacher with the North Colonie School District for 25 years. She was also a member of the Albany Country Club. She is survived by her beloved husband; W. Roland Soucy at home and many close and dear friends. Friends are invited and may call on Saturday from 2-3 pm at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Road, Latham. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at 3:00 pm at the conclusion of the visitation at the funeral home. Pastor John Phillippe will officiate.
