Latham- John H. Albert Sr., 88 of Latham and currently a resident of Albany County Nursing Home, beloved husband of the late Margaret M. (Fischer) Albert, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 8, 2010 at St. Peter's Hospital, in Albany. Born in Albany on January 9, 1922, he was the son of the late Herman and Ruth (Ocshe) Albert. He proudly served during WW II in the U.S. Navy Seabees. John was employed with Amtrack Railroad in Rensselaer as an engineer, retiring in 1983 after 43 years of service. He was an Avid golfer and one time a member of Boght Reformed Church. He is survived by his loving children; John (Sue) H. Albert Jr. of Ballston Lake, Bruce C. Albert of Cohoes & Pamela (Bill) M. Holcomb of Cohoes. As well as his 6 cherished grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. John is predeceased by his 2 sons; Frederick J. Albert and Timothy K. Albert who passed away on May 30, 2010.
