Obituary of Margaret M. Comard
MARGARET M. COMARD
LATHAM - Margaret Mary (Peggy) Comard, 91, of Latham, NY entered peacefully into eternal life January 20, 2025, at home.
Born in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Catherine Mullen Mooney. She met her love and lifelong dance partner, Frank J. Comard at a CYO dance in Troy, NY, and they were married in 1954. They built their dream home, overlooking the Mohawk River, designed by Frank and built with the help of family and friends. There they dedicated their hearts and souls to raising their four children.
Skiing every weekend at Hickory Hill and vacationing in Cape Cod were favorite family activities. Peggy was devoted to her faith, friends, books, birds, gardens, her Albany Democratic Irish roots, and above all, her family. We have been truly blessed to have her in our lives and will love her forever.
Peggy was predeceased by her husband, Frank, her parents and her brothers Eddie and Ray Mooney.
She is survived by her children Casey Morrison, Margaret Comard Lynch (Michael), Patricia Comard and Matthew Comard ( Tamorah); her grandchildren Beau Morrison, Kyle DePaolo (Aaron), Conor Lynch, Molly Martinez Rothrock (Manning), Jane Martinez (Nick Blackburn), Alyssa Jernigan, Colin Comard (Marissa Solini) and Tony Comard; great grandchildren who were so blessed to have met their Gigi, Maxwell and Theodore DePaolo; her brother, Joseph Mooney and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends including her lunch group from Cathedral Academy, Class of 1951.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Community Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Blessed Sacrament Food Pantry c/o Sister Patricia Lynch, 609 Central Avenue, Albany NY 12206
