Obituary of Albert J. Clark
ALBERT J. CLARK
LATHAM - Albert James Clark, 78, of Latham and Schroon Lake, NY, passed away peacefully January 12th, 2025 at St. Peter's Hospital in the loving company of his family.
Born on July 16, 1946, he was the son of the late Myles and Glynnreitta Pecor of Schroon Lake, NY. Al graduated from Schroon Lake Central School and then joined the United States Army, where he served with a Military Police Unit as an SP4. After being honorably discharged from the military, he spent 25 years working for the United States Postal Service. Al was a member in good standing at the Colonie Elks Club. He enjoyed spending time hunting, fishing, and boating on Schroon Lake. Above all, he loved spending time with his beloved family and granddaughter, Sloan - he never missed her games, and fans often heard him say, "Keep shooting, lady!"
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Adelaide "Betsy" Clark; his son, Darrell James Clark (Brooke) of Schroon Lake; his granddaughter, Sloan Elizabeth Clark; Ruth Wemett (Alan), Richard Pecor (Joanne), Ellen Fukes (Allen), May Allard (Frank), Kathy Carr (Ed), Dale Pecor, Sally Fredrick (Bernie), Barbara Bravata (Joe), Bella Boardway (Jim), Geraldine McMullen (John), Harold Snyder and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews who were very special to him.
In addition to his parents, Al was predeceased by his son David M. Clark and his brother-in-law Garry Snyder, also of Latham.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd. Latham, NY 12110 on Friday, January 17 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.. A prayer service will begin at 12:45 pm. Burial with military honors will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd., Schuylerville, NY at 2:30 p.m.
