Obituary of Jane Elizabeth Conron
JANE E. CONRON
WATERVLIET – Jane Elizabeth Conron, 86, formerly of Loudonville and Slingerlands, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at her home at Shaker Pointe at Carondelet.
Born in Albany on April 11, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Francis X. and Marcella (Shuttleworth) Conron.
Jane graduated from Catholic High in 1955 and then continued on to St Peter's Hospital School of Nursing. Her phenomenal nursing career spanned over 25 years during which she served the local community at St. Peter's Hospital as not only an Emergency Department nurse, but Director of the Emergency Department and then as an Administrator for Women's and Children's services.
Jane was a special part of the Shaker Pointe Community for 10 years and will be missed by so many wonderful friends. She was a parishioner of St. Pius X Church in Loudonville.
She is survived by her sister, Sister Patricia Conron, CSJ and her nine nieces and nephews Michael (Gena) Conron of Ellicott City, MD, Jennifer (Joseph) Jackson of Ellicott City, MD, Michael (Annette) Dow of Phoenix, MD, Matthew (Deborah) Dow of Rutherfordton, NC, Christopher Dow of Longmeadow, MA, Marcy (Thomas) Ryan of Clifton Park, Jennifer (James) Kilcullen of Trumbull, CT, Anny (Michael) Malak of Troy and Marti Goss of Grafton, 23 grandnieces and nephews and 1 great grandniece. She was predeceased by her brothers, Francis (Leanne) X. Conron of Wynantskill and Michael (Madelyn) J. Conron of Catonsville, MD and her sister, Marcia (Francis) C. Dow of Loudonville.
Jane will be remembered for her kind heart, quick wit and amazing laugh.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 in the chapel at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Jane's Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. in the main church at St. Pius X with Rev. James Walsh as celebrant.
Interment will take place at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
