Obituary of Paul J. LeClerc Jr.
PAUL J. LECLERC JR.
ALBANY - Paul J. LeClerc Jr., 82, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2024 at Baptist Health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia.
Born in Hartford, CT, Paul was the son of the late Paul LeClerc Sr. and Helen Galo. He is predeceased by his sister Dina Pruit.
Paul graduated from Rockville High School. He briefly enlisted in the US Air Force and was honorably discharged. He moved to the Capital District in 1994. In his life, Paul worked a variety of jobs but began working as an administrative assistant for the NYS Department of Health, Division of Nutrition in the Child and Adult Care Food Program in 1995 where he worked until retirement in 2022 at the age of 80.
Paul was a savant with dates, a history buff, lover of classic rock and roll, and avid horseracing fan. He spent most weekends at the local OTB teletheater and loved the Saratoga thoroughbred racing season.
Paul is survived by his long time friends and adopted family Annette Holleger of Latham, Sgt. Andrew Holleger of Colorado Springs, and Mara Holleger of Latham.
Paul was a very kind soul and truly loved the family he made at the Division of Nutrition. He will be missed yet forever cherished by those he loved.
In accordance with his wishes, services will be private.
