Our hearts are so sad of your passing. We have so many wonderful memories that we have shared after your retirement. The pic above is when you & Gloria were visiting us in California in 2016. We were at cousin Jackie & Don’s place in Palm Springs. We loved your visits. We spent New Year’s Eve in 2016 at a wonderful restaurant in Palm Springs. That was so much fun. Great Memories of us growing up with you in Utica with your sister Mary. Our families were so close. We remained close all our lives. We will miss our great conversations. You always made us laugh. Thanks for calling me on my birthday Nov. 5th. You could hardly talk & yet you said you missed & loved me. What a wonderful cousin. You warmed my heart. You were like a brother to me. Love & Hugs to your wonderful wife Gloria & your precious daughters Stacy & Krissy. Your sister Mary loved you so much. They are all heartbroken. May God give you all peace as he enters a better place. Love cousin Carol & Peter. By the way Peter said he will miss his best friend.

Heaven:
Oh what a beautiful morning
With the sunshine all aglow,
Oh what a beautiful morning
When the sun will rise & never go.
Our days will last forever,
And there will be no such thing as night.
Our hearts will be ever lightened, and our rainbows
forever bright.
So let us count our blessings For the day is drawing near, When in the twinkling of an eye, transformed we will ever be across eternities endless sky.

My goes out to all of you. I sure loved Larry. He was always so sweet, loving, kind & funny. I loved how He always said Yo!
I remember him spinning me around like an airplane when I was a little girl. But more importantly will always remember what a Very Dear cousin he was.
I look forward to seeing him again someday in the heavenlies with all our other loved ones who have gone before us.
Then we will all be reunited with our Heavenly Father in our Forever Home.
My heart & love to everyone.
Hugs,
From Darlene

Our deepest condolences to Gloria and family for the passing of Larry. Kathy and I have known Lee ( as he was always called) for many years. Lee was always a joy to be around and would put a smile on your face whenever you saw him. He served our country with great honor and dignity, a true patriot. His was a life well lived and he will be remembered fondly. May you rest in peace, my friend

When we moved to Alpine Drive, forty years ago, the first neighbor we met was LR Lee. On Mother's Day, 1984, we watched out our front window where he was skipping rope with his two little girls. He would take turns holding the rope, then try to jump in - mostly collapsing in a fit of laughter. I walked over to introduce myself because this was a neighbor I wanted to know. "I'm Larry, but everyone just calls me Lee."
For forty years I watched Lee on the driveway with his projects. I heard "Yo Linda, how's it going? as soon as I came out to chat. He would exclaim my flowers were "looking good", our family was "looking good". Every walker going past his house was greeted with the same interest and joy. Lee helped us with many home repairs and advice. Our grandchildren loved to present him with a homemade cake on Veterans Day and Lee taught them the marine crawl and the shout.
When our neighborly conversations came to an end, we would hear the famous Lee expression, " I'll catch you later." Today, when I look out my window, I smile and remember you my dear friend. Somewhere, just around the corner, "we'll catch you later."

Bother LEE, I will Miss our talks we had each month. We talk about our gardens humming birds. And the things we plan to do around the house. And what I will be smoking or some items in the airfryer. Of course about Vietnam yes we both joind the Marine Corps and ask for Vietnam when their we heard about the Combine Action Program. We both VOLT: for that unit. When we were asing to our unit. When something went realy bad we Marine would say thanks Stan and Ollie and other fine miss we got into. But must of all We Thank Our LORD. And we talk about our Family That We Love. Then we joke with each other and say we R Lucky To have Great Wifes To put Up With Us. So watch over me LEE yes I'm still bull headed. All I have only 5 more county to be a Purple Heart county in ST;of MO. that be all 114 countys. P S this is Lee CAP 2-4-3 in 1969 photo

Lee was like another brother! Such a good friend to so many. Kind and considerate.. He was a good listener. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and proud of all of that. And a friend to so many…a proud Veteran. We missed him this past Veterans Day. And now we will continue to salute, toast and miss this gentle soul. God bless his soul and God bless his wife and family. Our very sincere condolences to Lees family and friends
