LATHAM - Rita Fuda (Reale), 75 of Malta, NY passed away suddenly from complications of a heart attack on Saturday, November 9, 2024 in Saratoga, NY. Rita was born in Locri, Reggio Calabria, Italy on June 5, 1949 and later resided in Brooklyn NY, and Latham, NY with her husband and family. She recently moved to Malta, NY with her husband.

Rita was a beautiful, loving, caring, strong, and extremely selfless woman who always put her loved ones first. She had a profound love for music and dancing, especially for her favorite musician Andrea Bocelli. She enjoyed coloring, crafting, reading Italian romance magazines, watching Italian movies, and getting her hair and nails done. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her husband, children, grandchildren, and grand doggies Miley, Magnolia, and Bruno. She had such joy in calling all of her loved ones daily either by phone or video, whether they were near or far, and wholeheartedly cared about checking in on everyone in her life. Her contagious smile, her laugh, her spunky personality, and her pure kindness will continue to live on among those who knew and loved her.

Rita is survived by her loving husband Rocco Fuda, her daughter Caterina Fuda, her son Domenico (Danielle) Fuda, and her daughter Maria (Nicholas) Migliori. Rita is also survived by her grandchildren Gabriella (Ryan) Nicholson, Alexis Fuda, Rocco Fuda, Valentina Palumbo, Stella Migliori, and her great grandson Brody Nicholson. She also leaves behind her loving sister Josephine (Stefano) Fuda, other brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. The family would like to thank all of those who have helped care for Rita and all who showed love to her during her time here on Earth with us.

Relatives and friends are invited to all services. Visitation will be held at The Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home, 149 Old Loudon Rd., Latham NY on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 4-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ambrose Church, 347 Old Loudon Rd., Latham NY on Friday, November 15, 2024 at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
